Blog 3: Rosenberg

One of the approaches that I am familiar is considering the audience. Whenever I write my papers, I try to visualize myself as the reader so that I could keep the reader's attention and engaged. When I write my papers I usually keep them informative and brief at the same time. One of the approaches I make is trying to relate to the audience.

An approach that I'm not very familiar with is the Conclusion. I was always focused on the Title so that I can grab the reader's attention. I haven't given the conclusion of my papers a lot of thought because I believed that the Conclusion would just be the small summary of my paper. However, as I read the article "Reading Games: Strategies for Reading Scholarly Sources" by Karen Rosenberg, I understood the importance of how the conclusion can affect your writing.

  1. I think that your approach on considering the audience is much like mine. You find alot of importance in considering the reader's possible takes and opinions. When it comes to what you are less familiar concepts we are flipped. I focus on the conclusion much more than the title which has been my shortcoming in academic writing.
